2. National Long-Stay Visa (Type D) – Student Visa
This is the most common visa for international students (aged 17 and above) pursuing full-time education in Malta. It allows you to stay for over 90 days for the purpose of study.
Student Visa Application Process for Malta
Step 1: Choose Your Diploma Program
Begin by selecting the diploma program that fits your academic goals—Fast-Track High School Diploma or Strong High School Diploma. These programs are designed to prepare you for university admission, including International European University (Malta Campus).
Step 2: Check Your Eligibility
To qualify for a student visa, you must:
Be at least 17 years old
Have a valid admission letter from Realm Academia
Show proof of financial means to cover tuition and living expenses
Demonstrate basic English proficiency (such as an IELTS certificate or equivalent)
Step 3: Prepare Your Documents
Gather all necessary documents, including:
Admission Letter from Realm Academia
Valid Passport
Proof of English language skills
Educational transcripts or certificates
Evidence of sufficient financial support
Passport-sized photos
Health insurance
Step 4: Apply for Your Student Visa
Submit your visa application through the Malta Embassy or Consulate in your country. Double-check your documents for accuracy and consistency with your application form.
Step 5: Attend Biometric Appointment
You may be required to provide biometric data (fingerprints and a photo) as part of the visa application process.
Step 6: Wait for Approval
Visa processing typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on your location. During this time, start preparing for your journey and student life in Malta!
Step 7: Arrive in Malta
Once your visa is approved, book your flight and send us your ticket details at least 5 working days before arrival.
